The popular online multiplayer battle royale game Battlegrounds Mobile India, or BGMI, has now received a 2.0 upgrade. After two months, the BGMI 2.0 release is a huge upgrade for the game. The new update also marks BGMI's first partnership with the popular anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. With new features and improved gameplay, players can expect an engaging gaming experience. Time for the BGMI 2.0 upgrade
Today, May 13, the BGMI 2.0 upgrade will be released. The update will be sent in phases, with various locations receiving it at different times throughout the day. While there hasn't been much consistency in terms of release times for India, the most recent update was released around 5:30 p.m.
New features in BGMI 2.0
The BGMI 2.0 upgrade includes several new features as well as enhancements to old ones. Apart from all of the new features, the month will lead up to the first anniversary of Battlegrounds Mobile India in May. Let's go through all of the new features in this release.
Mode: Core Circle
This new mode, which is based on the iconic anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion, introduces new skins, awards, and milestone-based incentives for all players. This new mode is available on both the Erangel and Livik maps. Players may access this themed mode through in-game discovery events, and those who participate after May 14th will receive additional rewards.
Livik's official map
The Livik map is now ready to play and have exciting matches in. The new map includes an all-terrain UTV, ziplines, and a brand-new soccer pitch where players may score goals, among other features. All players will be able to use the new XT variety of weaponry on the battlefield, making gaming even more interesting. The map will also have sophisticated supply zones with unique weaponry.
BGMI Classic mode changes
The new emergency pickup ability will pick up the player outside the zone and deposit them in the centre of the play-zone in traditional modes. A revival tower will also allow players to resurrect their eliminated friends. With this upgrade, the haptic controls have also been improved. A like button has been added to spectator mode, and a special lobby has been established to commemorate BGMI's first anniversary, where players may purchase in-game products and skins for sale.
