Yesterday, May 15, 2022, the Battlegrounds Mobile India Open Challenge 2022 (BMOC) completed successfully. After a month-long event, everyone is now looking forward to BMPS Season 1. (Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series). With the completion of BMOC Round 4, we now have all of the teams who will compete in the BGMI's next big official tournament.

BMOC 2022 was held online in four rounds, with a total of 24 teams qualifying for BMPS Season 1 after the fourth round. Invited teams from BGIS competed with qualifying teams from BMOC Round 3 in the final round (4th round). The 24 teams who have qualified for the next big official BGMI tournament have been disclosed since BMOC. Qualified Teams, Format, and Schedule for the BMPS Season 1

Round 4 included 64 teams (32 qualifying + 32 invited) seeded into four different groups (16 teams per group). Each group had to play six matches each day, with the top six clubs filling the BMPS Season 1 berths. The prize fund for the tournament has been set at 2 crore INR, which is the most for an esports event in India.

BMPS S1 will be held in two parts from May 19th to June 12th (the League stage and the Finals). The 24 clubs mentioned below will compete in the league stage, which will be divided into three groups. These three teams will participate in a round-robin style for three weeks (four matchdays for a week).

The League stage schedule is as follows:

  • Round Robin 1:  May 19 to May 22
  • Round Robin 2: May 26 to May 29
  • Round Robin 3: June 2 to June 5
    6 matches per day which account for 24 matches per week.
    Each team will get to play 4 matches a day in Round-Robin Format (16 matches per  week)
The Grand Finals will include the top 16 teams from the League stage's overall points table. The BMPS S1 Grand Finals will be held from June 9 to June 12, 2022. Six matches will be played on each matchday, and the 16 teams will compete for four days. The team with the most points in the overall standings will be crowned winners of the competition.

The qualifying teams are yet to be announced by the officials. They will review all of the teams' games from BMOC Round 4, and any team that breaks the rules or is detected hacking will be disqualified. Teams in the bottom six will have the opportunity to qualify for BMPS.

More than half of the invited teams failed to qualify for the forthcoming BMOC Round 4, resulting in stunning and unexpected results. This demonstrates the strength of underdog teams that have outplayed the more well-known and experienced teams. Everyone is rooting for their favourite teams, such as Team Soul, XO, OR Esports, HYD Hydras, and others, as they prepare for the upcoming tournament.

Some fans may be disappointed since they will miss out on seeing teams like Godl, X Spark, TSM, Skylightz Gaming, and others. Regardless, the underdog teams will prove their worth and put on a spectacular show for BGMI fans. The tournament will be broadcast LIVE on LOCO, BGMI's official YouTube channel, and IQOO Esports.
